Rustic Modern Remodel
One of our latest remodeling projects was a whole home refresh in Lone Jack. The client last painted & decorated about 20 years ago when the home was new. Her goal was to do something fresh and new that worked well with her classic oak trim.
The mission: warm and cozy with a rustic modern feel.
We had so much fun helping bring her vision to life. Here’s the final result…
Paint color: Sherwin Williams Drift of Mist
In the living room we replaced the previous curtains and valances with new linen light filtering drapes. She purchased new living room furniture and DIY’d painting her TV console table. We love how it all turned out. Tied together nicely with a new carpet and large scale Loloi rug.
Paint color: Sherwin Williams Drift of Mist, Quartz Countertops: MSI New Carrara Marmi
In the kitchen, she chose these beautiful quartz counters and took them up the wall for her backsplash. Completed perfectly with a ledge shelf above the range.
Shout out to Grandview Top Company for the quartz install! The vent hood was a ductless black metal hood with charcoal filters. Finished off with a new stove and a fresh coat of paint.
Eat-in Kitchen Refresh
The eat-in kitchen got a fresh coat of paint Sherwin Williams Drift of Mist on the walls and the door. Also custom roman shades to replace the blinds and a beautiful new light fixture.
Paint color: Sherwin Williams Rosemary
In the formal dining room, our client wanted to do something fun with color. We removed her previous wallpaper and did a fresh coat of paint in SW Rosemary. Also installed a new light fixture above the table and lovely light filtering drapes.
Paint color: Sherwin Williams In the Navy
This is what we called her Bluebird Bathroom. She has a collection of special bluebird items from friends and loved ones. To highlight these, we repainted the space with Sherwin Williams In the Navy. We also replaced the mirror and light fixture to give her a more updated feel for this bathroom.
Stair Carpet Installation Style: Cap & Band
Her grand staircase received new black aluminum squared balusters in place of the previous wood ones. She had new carpet installed (cap & band style), fresh paint, custom roman shades and an incredible new light fixture. All came together nicely with her honey oak.
Kitchen Remodel
All of these remodel projects throughout the home used matte black to tie everything together. The new paint and lighting helped brighten up her space and give her that rustic modern look she was going for.
Living Room Update
We really loved working on this rustic modern remodeling project and hope you love out how it turned out as much as we do!
